MY DASHAIN EXPERIENCE

My tika thali in Dashain

Dashain is the main festival celebrated by Nepalese people. It is mainly celebrated by Hindu peoples. In this festival people worship goddess Durga. It is celebrated as a victory of good over evil. So, people in this festival choose the right path and leave the wrong one.

I also celebrated Dashain in a great way. Although it was not joyful as the previous one but also it was very wonderful. As there was an economic blockade, we cooked all our foods in a heater. So, due to this blockade also it was not as wonderful as the previous ones.

This Dashain I played swing and cards. Playing swing was very fun and playing cards was also fun. Also won many games while playing cards. I also went many temples with my mother and my cousins and brother sisters. I went places like Pashupatinath, Gujeshwori, etc.

My grandparents put me tika. They also gave some amount of money to me. I also went my maternal uncle’s house to put tika. There also I played cards and swing with my cousins. I enjoyed a lot with them. From there also I collected some amount of money. So, I enjoyed a lot in this Dashain but less than the previous one.

So, I experienced a lot of happiness and some trouble also. Happieness because I had a great time with my family and friends. Saddness because we had to cook all our meal in the heater because of shortage of gas.
